J187 – Intro to Interactive Multimedia

Welcome to Spring ’14 semester!

The development of interactive multimedia is one of the most useful and versatile skills in today’s design world. In this class you will learn first the fundamentals of effective graphic design, and then how to use those fundamentals to learn, develop and fully create your own multimedia website.

Required Purchases
• Sketchbook – For tracking ideas, storyboarding class projects and brainstorming

• USB Memory Stick or portable hard drive to save your work. Please be aware that you are responsible for backing up your own work.

• Hosting subscription to WebFaction ($8.50/month for 1 year – no need to sign up until we go over this in class)

• You may also be given readings from links or PDF files on the Resources page.
